Get ready for ZEL! New algo 125,4 - ZelHash

ZelCash will undergo a mandatory network upgrade – Kamiooka – @ block 372 500, estimated: 3rd july 2019. More info here.

Check here block height: https://explorer.zel.cash/

miniZ just released version v1.4o that supports the new algo 125,4 – ZelHash. You will need to update miniZ to get ready to mine ZEL! 🙂

Download here.

Also, to mine 125,4 you need to add --par=125,4 to your command line.

miniZ will not switch automatically for the new algo. You will need to restart the miner. Be sure to add --par=125,4 to your command line!

Command line example, for Windows:

miniZ.exe --par-125,4 --url YourWallet.Worker@mine-zel-euro.equipool.1ds.us:50053 --log --extra

      Hi Pavel,
mining ZEL with 1060 3GB works fine in Linux and Windows 7. On Windows 10 you can try mining ZEL with --mode=10 option, however this may not work. We will try to fix this soon.
      Cheers

I also have the same problem trying to mine Zel and Beam on Windows 10 with GTX 1060 3GB. Any help will be appreciated.
    Thank you.

The 3GB GPUs cannot run 150,5 on Windows 10. It is possible on Windows 7, but you have to run with --mode=3 option.
Windows does not allow miniZ to use all GPU memory. On Linux this limitation does not exist and miniZ will run at full speed.
Beam will introduce a few changes in the algo, we will try to look at this in the future. Maybe we can shrink it a bit more so that it can fit also on Windows 10. (No guarantees though).
Could you paste here the output of running miniZ.exe -ci? This may help us try to make miniZ run better with the 1060 3GB.
      Cheers

Thanks for your reply. The output from -ci option with MiniZ v1.4o is:

Number of CUDA devices found: 3
    #0 GeForce GTX 1060 3GB | SM version: 6.1 | SM count: 9 | Memory: 2.42GB
    #1 GeForce GTX 1060 3GB | SM version: 6.1 | SM count: 9 | Memory: 2.42GB
    #2 GeForce GTX 1060 3GB | SM version: 6.1 | SM count: 9 | Memory: 2.42GB

I wrote the output because I don’t know how to paste here.

Thanks again for your interest in this.
